The Alaska Section of the American Water Resources Association is devoted to supporting our state’s student researchers. The AWRA-AK awarded four travel grants, aimed to support airfare expenses to the 2012 AWRA-AK conference.

The student winners are presenting a research project, which pertain to Alaska water resources issues, and serves as lead- or coauthors of the submitted abstracts. Preference was given to students who are enrolled at an Alaska university.

The winners are expected to assist the organizers during the conference and will be presented the award in Juneau. All applicants that met eligibility received a 2012 student membership to the AWRA-AK.
