The Alaska Section of the American Water Resources Association is devoted to supporting our state’s student researchers. The AWRA-AK will be awarding up to four $600 travel grants, aimed to support airfare expenses, to attend the 2012 AWRA-AK state conference March 4-8 in Juneau, AK.  Eligible students must:

1. Be the presenter of the research project, which must pertain to Alaska water resources issues
2. Serve as the lead or co-author of the submitted abstract

Preference will be given to students who are enrolled at an Alaska university. The winners are expected to assist the organizers during the conference and will be presented the award in Juneau.  All applicants that meet eligibility will receive a 2012 student membership to the AWRA-AK.
