Michael R. Lilly, Alaska Section AWRA Northern-Region Director
I would like to welcome you to the Northern Region of the Alaska Section and our information resources on the World Wide Web (WWW). Our meetings are now held the second Wednesday of each month from noon to 1:00pm at the Alaska Department of Natural Resources (DNR) large-conference room. You can find the DNR building at the north-west corner of the Airport Way and University Avenue intersection. Our meetings are held September through March and our annual state meeting is held in April of each year. The northern region membership includes faculty, staff, and students of the University of Alaska Fairbanks, federal and state government, and private industry water-resource professionals. We hope you can come to our monthly meetings and bring a colleague. For more information on water resources in the Fairbanks area, see the UAF Water and Environmental Research Center web site or the USGS pages for USGS projects relating to the Fairbanks area.
