- John Duffy, Matanuska-Susitna Borough Manager
Mr. Duffy has worked for the Borough for over 16 years. Prior to this
appointment, Mr. Duffy worked as Assistant Borough Manager. He has also
served ten years as the Borough's planning director. Mr. Duffy has a Master's
Degree in Urban Planning and Policy from the University of Illinois with
a specialization in transportation planning. He has been recently appointed
to the US EPA's Local Government Advisory Committee.
- Gary Prokosch, Chief of Water Resources, DNR
Mr. Prokosch's division oversees Water Management (Water Rights), Alaska
Hydrologic Survey, and Dam Safety and Construction. Mr. Prokosch has 25
years in the field of water management with the State of Alaska. He has
an AS in Forestry and in BS Natural Resource Management from the University
of Alaska Fairbanks.
- Archie Giddings, City Engineer for Wasilla
A 20 year resident of Wasilla, Mr. Giddings is currently working on a
storm drain system for downtown Wasilla, west of Main Street and north
of the Parks Highway that will reduce contaminants entering Lake Lucille.
- Jennifer Mcgill, Chickaloon Tribal Council
Ms. McGill is an environmental specialist for Chickaloon Native Village.
She is currently project director for a monitoring program funded by the
US Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Native
Americans. Ms. McGill has a MS from the State University of New York College
of Environmental Science and Forestry in Syracuse, New York.
- Glenda Smith, Soil and Water Conservation Districts
Representative
Glenda is the SWCD watershed project coordinator for the Wasilla, Palmer
and Upper Susitna SWCD's.
- Suzanne Hill, ADEC Drinking Water and Wastewater
Program
Ms. Hill is the Program Coordinator for the Drinking Water Protection
(DWWP) component of the Drinking Water and Wastewater Program. Activities
under the DWWP include completing source water assessments for all public
drinking water systems in Alaska and developing a Wellhead Protection
Program. Prior to moving to Alaska, Ms. Hill had worked for the City of
Seattle Water Department for 23 years and was a
Senior Conservation Program Manager for the last 9 years there.
